black woolen dress - sale €5500 - rent €550
Tess van Zalinge launches the demi-couture collection ‘fifteen’ in collaboration with wedding planner Lotte Groosman at the Fashion for Good Experience museum in Amsterdam 2019. Inspired by fifteen wedding traditions the collection is an ode to forgotten marriage traditions. Tess takes fashionable heritage as a starting point to share the story of symbolism, emotion and authenticity behind a marriage. The entire collection is crafted from vintage wedding dresses and other recycled materials and leftovers from weddings. An innovative form of upcycling shows a special amalgamation of tailoring, craftsmanship and the urge for innovation and 'do good'.

Mindful motions at every step of the way. To combat waste and contribute and sustain a healthy creative industry. Working towards a reduced waste model where unique designs are available for sale and rent. A thoughtful alternative is another step towards integrity, consciousness and following the Fair Practice Code initiated by the Dutch Government. Based on the virtuous concepts of upcycling and repurposing, Tess van Zalinge dedicates herself to implementing pioneering initiatives. Creating timeless garments to cherish, to keep, to share, to lend and to pass on – collectability.
